How can I wear vintage slips and nightgowns?

I have many vintage slips and nightgowns that I've found at flea markets.
How can I erosion or alter them to wear?
I want to look chic and not slutty.

Vintage slips are very off colour, but I would think could be tricky wearing them in public.

I in effect require to commemorate to take before and after photos...but this nevertheless use your fancy... This was a monumental nightgown/moomoo, it caught my eye because of the marvellous assail neckline I reflection, well that deserves a new moving spirit. So I took it stamping-ground cut and sliced it up and worn surviving skirt and magically turned them into ruffles and POOF this is what came out.
