Brandy Norwood and Monica Brown have been reeling with emotions since the untimely end of their idol Whitney Houston . While promoting their new single, “It All Belongs To Me”, the ladies paid surcharge to the “Queen of Pop” and also shared their memories and last moments with Whitney before her pathetical death and what the icon meant to them personally.
Houston had just crashed the vet “The Boy Is Mine” singers had with E! the Thursday before the Grammys where Whitney was being extraordinarily affectionate and graciously giving them high marks on their work.
That’s surely how Monica remembers the “I’m Your Baby Tonight” chorus-boy as a “jokester” and “hilarious”.
Monica continued with how she and Whitney had been friends since she was fourteen. She said they had a shut up bond because the “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” superstar could see herself in Monica.
“She told me, ‘I never met anybody that I saw myself in,’” Monica recounted. “And the in reality that I was signed and discovered singing ‘The Greatest Love of All,’ you conscious…it’s just been a rough week, overall. But I concede that she and I both, outside of music, had a lot in common. And our love for God and our belief in Christ was one of those things and it’s kept me qualified and kept me fighting for what it is she loved, and that is family first, music and the rest is twinkling.
