SUNY Potsdam sets black history events

POTSDAM As part of its evolving campus discussion about diversity, SUNY Potsdam will draw out Black History Month with a series of on-campus events that will elongate into the beginning of March to continue the conversation about how and why matters of racial and ethnic variation affect both campus and community.
The SUNY Potsdam Black Biography Leap Year series will stretch from Monday throught Walk 5, and is aimed at extending the observation of Black History Month to the following month and beyond, as its events provoke more exchanges.
As part of the Black History Leap Year series, two skilful guest speakers will visit the campus to share their perspectives on issues of line and its representations.
In addition, a number of faculty members from various departments will take part in panel discussions and performances designed to fuel audiences to think in greater depth about the nature and value of national and ethnic diversity.
All these events are free and open to the public.
